Microsoft Dynamics NAV: What's New?

There’s always something new happening in the Microsoft Dynamics world. Sometimes there’s so much going on that it’s hard to keep up. So we’re here to do that for you. Here’s a recap of Microsoft Dynamics NAV news that has come out over the past few months.

Cumulative Updates

Microsoft releases updates on a monthly basis and installing those updates is the best way to keep your Dynamics NAV system fresh. This month, cumulative updates were released for the following NAV versions:

Cumulative Update 14 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018

Cumulative Update 27 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017

Cumulative Update 40 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016

Cumulative Update 52 for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

Windows Server 2019 for Dynamics NAV

Over the last few months, the Dynamics SMB team has been testing compatibility with this new version of Windows Server. In a recent post on the Dynamics NAV Team Blog it was announced that the following Dynamics NAV versions have proven to be compatible with Windows Server 2019:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

Microsoft Office 2019 for Dynamics NAV

Similarly, in another recent post, the compatibility between Microsoft Office 2019 and the following versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV was announced:

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016
